Here are some of our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ which may assist with the planning of your event.
A. Yes, your wedding will be the only wedding party at the venue. No-one else will have access to your venue or grounds other than your invited guests.
A. Yes you can. We hold a licence for Civil Ceremonies, and can discuss the finer details with you when we meet.
A. You will be able to access the venue from 9am that morning or earlier by negotiation with us and the caterers.
A. The Venue hire is the fee charged for the Wedding venue. This is for exclusive use of the high end venue. It incorporates all of the furniture that you require in tables and chairs, glassware, dancefloor, fully stocked and licenced bar. Patio, gardens and outside furniture. We are also close at hand to advise you during the planning of your Wedding.
A. No, we do not allow Corkage. We price the sale of alcohol at very reasonable prices so it would be unlikely that corkage fees would be of any benefit. We are a responsible licensee, and licensed in the same way as a public house, and for the control of alcohol, we do not allow alcohol not purchased at Coton House Farm on site. This is maintained as part of our licensing duties.
A. Only caterers authorised as our preferred suppliers are able to work at Coton House Farm. This is to protect you, your guests and our reputation. Coton House Farm has designed extensive and bespoke menus for our events. All of our food is locally sourced, prepared and cooked fresh, here in our own kitchens by our highly trained and skilled gourmet chefs. We are able to provide the highest quality at the best prices.
A. No, as it is not included within our fees. We can arrange a DJ for you from our approved DJ’s list, but they will require payment directly. You can of course have your own choice of DJ, who must supply Coton House Farm with a copy of their insurance and PAT certification.
A. Yes of course, we love live bands as they are perfectly suited to our venue. Again they must provide insurance and PAT certification.
A. I am afraid not. Coton House Farm is a working livestock farm and we would have a duty of care to our animals.
A. At the moment we do not provide accommodation. In the nearby historic City of Lichfield, we have many wonderful Hotels, bed and breakfasts and Inns. We also have some within 5 mins walk from Coton House Farm.
A. The venue is licensed until Midnight, and I am afraid we are not able to extend beyond this time except at New Year.
A. Yes, we are. The venue is wheelchair user friendly and we will take every effort to accommodate individual requirements. We are also Autism friendly.
